Beyond Business

The Heart Behind What I Do

When the workday ends, my commitment to people doesn’t.

Long before I stepped into business leadership and sales, my life was shaped by faith, ministry, community, and walking closely with people carrying real-life pressure. After completing school and military service, I attended a Christian Discipleship Training School that grounded me in the biblical foundations of a God-honouring life. That season led into ministry, missions, youth and children’s work, and now 34 years of active involvement in local church life and leadership.

For as long as I can remember, I have been drawn to people who are overwhelmed, overlooked, or carrying more than they can say out loud. I’ve sat with men who felt like they had failed their families, walked with young adults navigating identity and purpose, and prayed with people through grief, loss, and major crossroads.

These years have shaped how I listen, how I lead, and how I make decisions — in business and beyond.

How I Serve Beyond Work

Much of my “off the clock” time is spent walking with people through real-life challenges:

  • Men’s Ministry
I enjoy encouraging and supporting men through honest conversations, practical help, and steady presence — helping men feel seen, valued, and strengthened. Being involved in organising a monthly men’s breakfast has been especially meaningful, as it gives men a place to connect, share, and build each other up.
  • Life Group Leadership
Leading a Life Group with my wife has been one of the great privileges of my life. We work to create a safe, relational environment where people can ask hard questions, grow in faith, and build genuine community. We call one another “family,” and we support each other through every season of life.
  • GriefShare Support
Walking with people through grief has been one of the most rewarding journeys I’ve taken. GriefShare provides a structured, compassionate space where people can move from confusion and isolation toward healing, understanding, and hope.
  • Community & Outreach Involvement
From local care initiatives to faith-driven community projects, I’ve always been involved in practical expressions of serving people and lifting burdens. Serving both inside and outside the church has been a central part of who I am. Watching lives change and hope return is more rewarding than anything money could buy.
  • Leadership of a Christian School
For many years I served as a visionary leader on the board of a Christian school providing education from Pre-School to Grade 7. Our goal was to build strong Christian values and biblical foundations into the daily curriculum. With dedicated teachers and a principal who led with conviction, it was inspiring to see how the children developed — and how many even brought positive change into their own homes.
This isn’t “extra” work for me.
    This is who I am.

Why This Matters If You Work With Me

This part of my life isn’t a hobby bolted onto my business — it’s the foundation of how I operate.

When you work with me, you can expect:

  • Integrity over shortcuts – I will never recommend something I don’t believe is right for you or your team.
  • People-first thinking – Your staff, customers, and partners are never “units”; they’re people to be valued and honoured.
  • Calm under pressure – Years of navigating crisis alongside others have taught me to remain steady when things get tough — whether in business or in life.
  • Long-term partnership – I’m not here for quick wins or rushed decisions. I am here to help you build something that lasts.

The way I serve in ministry directly shapes the way I serve in business — with responsibility, care, discernment, and consistency.

Long-term partnership

A glimpse into what shapes my daily life:

  • I start my mornings in prayer — it brings clarity and peace into everything I do.
  • I believe every person carries a story worth hearing.
  • I’d rather lose a deal than lose integrity.
  • Helping someone move forward — spiritually, emotionally, or professionally — is one of my greatest joys.
  • My family is my foundation and my motivation.
  • I live with the conviction that we are called to leave people better than we found them.

These are the values you’re partnering with when we work together.
